We celebrate another NATIONAL CHAMPION! Nia Dennis is National Beam Champion! Nia Dennis and Jenna Swartzentruber are competing at the Level 10 National Championships in Long Beach, California. Nia was the Region 5 All Around Champion in her age group and she showed why today in California. Nia started on vaulting where she scored 9.75 which was good for 3rd place. On bars she scored 9.375 (8th), BEAM 9.55 GOLD MEDAL, and on floor 9.25 (28th- did she fall?). Her All Around was 37.90 good for 3rd place! So two Bronze Medals and one Gold. A great day.
Jenna had a nice meet with 9.225 vault, 9.00 bars, 8.95 beam, and 9.15 floor for a 36.325 in the all around good for 32nd (out of the 57 best juniors in the USA!).
In addition, both Nia and Jenna helped Region 5 (OH, KY, IN, IL, MI) win the team competition against the other 7 regions in the country. So congratulations to our NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONS!
