Buckeye Gymnastics operates in two large air-conditioned buildings, one on Powell the other in Westerville. In addition, Buckeye Cheer Elite operates in a separate building on our Powell campus.

All three buildings reflect our belief that gymnastics and cheerleading must be safe, it must be fun and the kids need to be able to get in a lot of turns in order to learn.

Our students fall down. They fall down a lot. In fact we expect and want them to fall down. That is how they learn. In fact, we cannot teach them to get up and try again unless they fall down first.

That is why all of our gyms are filled with mats and every square inch of the activity area in every Buckeye gym is covered with safety foam. While we know our students will fall down we do not know exactly where they will fall down. So we try to be ready for anything.

In addition, our trampolines (and we have over a dozen trampolines) are either set into the ground or they are surrounded with nets so that our students cannot fall off of them. That is one kind of fall we do not want.

At Buckeye the focus is on safety: first, last, and always.

All of our gyms provide multiple sets of equipment and loads of specialized mats and drill stations so our students spend much less time standing in line and much more time practicing their skills.

So, as you look at the pictures of our gyms and visit them in person remember that at Buckeye we are all about safety, fun, and learning.

“Thank you for encouraging Sierra to reach her potential and for keeping her on task. Her motor skills have greatly improved since she began coming here 2 years ago. We’re looking forward to seeing what else she can do.”
