Tumble Bear Classes:

Bears To Be: (Walking-24 months)
Parent Participation Class At least one adult must attend. This is often a child’s first experience with any kind of sports instruction. We emphasize fun, trying new things, high-fives, hanging, rolling, jumping, climbing, balancing on a beam, and sharing a class with their favorite stuffed animal.

Bear Cubs: (2-3 yrs old)
Parent Participation Class. At least one adult must attend. We still emphasize fun and high-fives but now the children are working a bit more independently and they do not need Mom, Dad, or Granddad as much. We now add additional challenges as the basics of rolling, jumping and climbing become front rolls down the wedge, jumping up onto a block, seat drops on trampoline, and toes to the bar.

Wee Bears: (3-3 1/2 yrs old)
Parent Participation/Transition Class. The parent stays with the child until the teacher tells the parent the child is ready to try class on his own. We ask that you DO NOT leave the gym. We work on fun, active fitness, and independence from Mom and Dad. The skills continue to evolve as we add complexity and challenges. All the basic skills now come with variations, we start to combine skills, and add new events. We ask the children to go higher, farther, and faster: and they can do it!

Gym Bears: (3 1/2 & 4 yrs old)
These children participate on their own. These children can now do real gymnastics skills! They do not just hang from the bar they can get on top of the bar. They don’t just walk on the low beam they can change directions, get up and down, and move forward, backward, and sideways. We continue to add events, levels, complexity and challenges as we keep it fun.

Jumping Bears: (4 1/2 & 5 1/2 yrs old)
As children build strength, balance, flexibility, and agility more skills are attainable. Skills emphasized include backward roll down wedge, beginning cartwheel, swinging, front support rollover and tuck, straddle jumps on trampoline, and donkey kicks to name just a few. This class is all about high energy, high activity, and big fun.

Kinder Bears: (Kindergartners)
These children are almost ready for gymnastics with the big kids but they can still make good use of the smaller sized equipment, they love the theme weeks, they look forward to the music based warm-ups, and they still thrive with the mixture of skill instruction, games, and fun. In this class they will learn some of the basic skills that they will need throughout gymnastics. Skills emphasized include beginning pullover, cartwheel, backward roll on floor, handstands, and trampoline skills.

Tumble Bears: (Teacher Recommendation)
The Tumble Bears classes are one hour in length instead of 40 minutes and the children take class in both the preschool gym and with the big kids in the class gym area. This class focuses on the basic skills with an emphasis on form. Skills emphasized: pullover, back roll on floor, handstand, beginning backbend and combining skills on trampoline.
