Joining a Competition Team

Buckeye Gymnastics competition options

Three of those options require an audition. Our auditions are not structured to eliminate children. They are structured in order to place children on teams at levels where they will be successful. If a child is not ready for a certain team one year he or she might well be ready the following year. We can often offer other options and various strategies to get every child placed on the team of their choice. In addition, we offer pre-team opportunities for young children that are not specifically listed below.

For more information about all of our team please click on the specific team tab on the website for more information or call the gyms at 614-895-1611 Westerville or 614-793-1936 Powell for more information.

The Scarlet and Gray Girls Gymnastics Team is a recreational team for intermediate and advanced class students at Buckeye. Girls can start participating at any time during the year. Girls who want an opportunity to compete within greater central Ohio can join this team with no audition and minimal time and financial commitments.

Girls Team: The Buckeye Gymnastics Girls Team is one of the top gyms in the Midwest and, indeed, in the USA. We compete under the USA Gymnastics competitive structure and we travel throughout the USA and the world competing at all levels from beginning to Elite. Participation requires an audition and those auditions normally take place in March or April.

Buckeye Cheer Stars is our recreational team for beginning level and younger children who want to participate in a competitive cheer program. This program generally involves a 6-7 month commitment and starts in September or October and runs through March. Look for information during August and September or call the cheer gym at 614-763-0230.

Buckeye Cheer Elite is our popular All-Star Cheer Team providing competition at all ability levels. BCE teams have won national championships at all levels and our Level 5 teams have become a fixture at the Cheerleading World Championships. An audition is required for placement. The auditions and tryout clinics are held in April and May.
